An evil sorceress by the name of Rita Repulsa is freed from her space dumpster after being imprisoned for ten thousand years, and comes to Earth with intentions of destroying it. Meanwhile, an intergalactic being named Zordon and his assistant robot, Alpha, decide to recruit five teenagers and equip them with super powers in order to do battle Rita and her goons. Jason is made the Red Ranger and is given the power of the Tyrannosaurus. Trini is made the Yellow Ranger and is given the power of the Saber Toothed Tiger. Zack is made the Black Ranger and given the power of the Mastodon. Kimberly is made the Pink Ranger and is given the power of the Pterodactyl. And Billy is made the Blue Ranger and given the power of the Triceratops. The five teenagers now have the ability to morph into superheros as well as the power to operate their giant fighting machines known as the Dinozords. Together, they are the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.

High Five

While Trini and Kimberly petition to have a local waste dump shut down, Rita Repulsa sends down an army of putties and her powerful Minotaur monster to distract them. Also, Zordon gives each of the Rangers their own special weapon to help in the fight against Rita. Jason receives the Power Sword, Kimberly receives the Power Bow, Zack receives the Power Axe, Trini receives the Power Daggers, and Billy receives the Power Lance. The weapons are very strong on their own, but when combined, they form the ultimate fighting machine.

A Pressing Engagement

The Rangers are busy making preparations for Angel Grove’s International Food Festival. This gives Rita the idea to send down her latest monster, Pudgy Pig, to eat everything in sight. The Rangers realize they have to think fast if they plan on stopping him, and when they discover his one weakness, they come up with a plan to exploit it.

Things get bad, however, when Rita brings Mr. Ticklesneezer to life, and he begins to terrorize Angel Grove by shrinking everything in sight, and trapping them inside bottles.

As the four remaining Rangers continue their search for Jason, unaware that he’s trapped in Rita’s Dark Dimension, they are then attacked by the vicious Scorpina. Eventually, Alpha is able to locate Jason and teleports him back into the command center, but the evil Green Ranger is still on the loose and the Ranger’s still have no idea who is behind that green mask.

01×20 – Green With Evil (4): Eclipsing Megazord

As the Rangers use their Megazord to battle Goldar, Scorpina and the Green Ranger, they are crushed in battle and forced to retreat back to the command center. Meanwhile, due to the small visit the Green Ranger paid to the command center earlier, Alpha is now able to identify that Tommy Oliver is the evil Green Ranger.

The Trouble With Shellshock

Doomsday Part 2

The Rangers must continue to do battle with Cyclopsis, despite not being at full-strength. Even with the odds against them, they are eventually able to best Cyclopsis and cause some serious damage to Rita’s camp. After rescuing the trapped citizens of Angel Grove from Rita’s alternate dimension, the celebration is resumed and the entire city honors the Power Rangers. Zordon then gives the Rangers the choice to give up their powers and lead normal lives.

Rita, sends down her Jellyfish monster to trap the Rangers in an alternate dimension, while she attempts to steal the time capsule and replace the picture of the Rangers with a picture of herself.

Return Of An Old Friend Part 2

01×50 – Return of an Old Friend (2)

Tommy decides to pay a visit to his friends, and just in time too. Zordon notifies him of the situation and through borrowed power, he is able to once again morph into the Green Ranger. He is sent on a mission to retrieve the other five power coins, but is injured in the process. Still, his mission is a success, and the Rangers’ power coins are returned to them. They finish off Rita’s latest monster, Dramole, and manage to free their parents from Rita’s dimension. Finally, Tommy decides to stay on board as the Green Ranger for as long as his temporary power will allow him.

Grumble Bee

01×51 – Grumble Bee

When Billy receives his very first B, Rita who obviously can’t tell the difference between the letter grade B and an actual bee, mistakenly thinks it would be clever to send down the Grumble Bee monster. Two Heads Are Better Than One

Zack wanting to impress Angela, buys her a pair of pearl earrings for her Birthday. The earrings, which have been cursed by Rita cause everyone in the room to freeze once Angela puts them on. This includes Kimberly, as well as Trini, Billy and Jason who were there to stop this very thing from happening. Now it’s up to Zack and Tommy to stop the Oysterizer alone and undo the earring’s effects.
