Cole, an orphan raised in the jungle after the disappearance of his parents, returns to the States to find them. Meanwhile, a group of Power Rangers are finding it more difficult to deal with the threat of ancient Org forces and decide that they must find a strong leader. Cole is selected and is taken to the Rangers floating island paradise the animarium, inhabited by the beautiful Princess Shayla.

Cole is given the powers of the Red Wild Force Ranger, but will he prove worthy as a leader and a Rangers against the Orgs Toxica and Jindrax? And how will the Rangers cope when they face their first giant Org adversary?
