Villains, in nature, have always been shown to be untrustworthy characters. Some go the extra mile and betray whom they consider allies for their own agenda.
Below, I’ve listed a handful of villains that have accomplished or have attempted to accomplish just that.
Originally created by Rita and Zedd to take over the Machine Empire for them in Mondo’s absence, Louie started to act on his own when Rito and Goldar lost the remote control that controlled his actions and ruled the Empire himself for a short time.
Porto, for a short time, acted out on his own due to him feeling unappreciated by Divatox and her crew. After his plan of growing to giant size and crushing Angel Grove fell through, he came back to Divatox’s forces begging for forgiveness.
A space bounty hunter who is only loyal to himself, Darkonda can be considered to be one of the most treacherous villains in Power Rangers History. Darkonda is shown not to care for anyone considered to be on his side shown when he fused with Ecliptor for a short time which framed him for trying to destroy him. Another instance in which Darkonda showed his treacherous side was when he used a planet destroying missile to destroy Dark Specter and take over as Monarch Of Evil. However, his efforts are in vein when Dark Specter, in a last ditch effort consumed Darkonda whole before imploding into a million pieces.
Deviot’s main goal throughout the series was to use the cocoon Scorpius made for Trakeena and mutate into an unstoppable being. He nearly succeeds in his mission when he slithered his way into becoming Scorpius’s newest general and persuades him to battle the Galaxy Rangers which injured him and eventually caused his death. However, before Deviot could enter the cocoon, Scorpius’s daughter comes to the Scorpion Stinger prior to his death and his plans fail. He stays on as a general in Trakeena’s army until he ventures to the Lost Galaxy and joins Captain Mutiny’s army for a short time. After returning from the Lost Galaxy, Deviot is labeled a traitor by Trakeena and a last ditch effort uses the cocoon and fuses with Trakeena to become one power hungry being.
At the beginning of Time Force, Frax is shown to be the loyal technical adviser to Ransik and his prison full of mutant criminals. However, as the series progresses, Frax is shown to detest the way he and his robot creations are treated by his master and starts working on plans by himself. These plans include releasing mutant criminals stored in the X-Vault where the strongest mutants are kept in the Cryo Prison. Later in the series, it is revealed that Frax was once a human scientist known as Dr.Fericks who aided Ransik in his early days by giving him medicine that temporarily cured him of Venomark’s bite temporarily. After obtaining this medicine and blueprints for his Cyclobots, Ransik blows up his lab and leaves him for dead. Dr.Fericks, in a last ditch effort, turns himself into a robot to save his life and exacts revenge on Ransik and does so by destroying all the serum Ransik needs to survive. Frax then leaves the Cryo Prison to enact numerous attacks on the city with his giant robots. During his completion of his ultimate creation Doomtron, Frax is found by Ransik and is transformed into a mindless servant to pilot Doomtron to destroy Silver Hills.

After learning that there was no way to destroy Octomus with Koragg around, he decided that it would be better to gain his favor and did so by teleporting the Mystic Rangers to the Underworld and feeding their Legend Powers to Octomus. After it was revealed that Koragg was a brainwashed Leanbow, he challenges Daggeron to a duel and loses, which inevitably kills him.
