Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers (2016)


 

Jason Lee Scott, Red Ranger I
Jason Lee Scott is a high school student from Angel Grove High School that is chosen by Zordon to become the Red Ranger and the leader of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. Jason is a skilled martial artist, honing his skills and teaching classes at the Angel Grove Youth Center. Shortly after the events of Lord Drakkon meddling with the Morphin’ Grid, he is recruited by the Blue Emissary to become the Red Omega Ranger, unbeknownst to their teammates under the guise of a Peace Conference in Switzerland until they eventually find out. He leads the Omega Rangers until an altercation with the Death Ranger, where he is forced to leave the team after he is unable to hold onto the Red Omega Ranger powers, giving them to Trini Kwan. He returns to Angel Grove shortly after to take care of his sick father after he mother dies.


Billy Cranston, Blue Ranger
Billy Cranston is a high school student from Angel Grove High School that is chosen by Zordon to become the Blue Ranger. Billy is extremely tech savvy, being able to create weapons and devices to assist in the battle against evil. His abilities are later utilized by Promethea when Grace Sterling hires him to work there so that he could energize the Green Power Coin to give Matthew Cook the powers of the Green Ranger.


 

Zack Taylor, Black Ranger I
Zack Taylor is a high school student from Angel Grove High School that is chosen by Zordon to become the Black Ranger. Zack is the most fun-loving of the group, making his teammates laugh when things look grim. He is also the most hesitant when Tommy Oliver joins the team due to Rita Repulsa attempting to recruit him as the Green Ranger. Shortly after the events of Lord Drakkon meddling with the Morphin’ Grid, he is recruited by the Blue Emissary to become the Black Omega Ranger, unbeknownst to their teammates under the guise of a Peace Conference in Switzerland until they eventually find out.


   

Trini Kwan, Yellow Ranger I
Trini Kwan is a high school student from Angel Grove High School that is chosen by Zordon to become the Yellow Ranger. Trini is well balanced person, being very intelligent and also being a capable fighter. Shortly after the events of Lord Drakkon meddling with the Morphin’ Grid, she is recruited by the Blue Emissary to become the Yellow Omega Ranger, unbeknownst to their teammates under the guise of a Peace Conference in Switzerland until they eventually find out. She later becomes Red Omega Ranger when Jason Lee Scott quits the team.


 

Kimberly Ann Hart, Pink Ranger
Kimberly Hart is a high school student from Angel Grove High School that is chosen by Zordon to become the Pink Ranger. Kimberly is a gymnast, honing her skills on the balance beam at the Angel Grove Youth Center. She is also the ex-girlfriend of Matthew Cook, the second Green Ranger and the current girlfriend of Tommy Oliver, the former Green Ranger and current White Ranger.


Tommy Oliver, Green Ranger/White Ranger
Tommy Oliver is a new kid at Angel Grove High School that is recruited by Rita Repulsa to become her Evil Green Ranger after she witnesses him competing in a martial arts tournament against Jason Lee Scott. He is eventually freed from her control thanks to the other Power Rangers and has a hard time at first after traveling to another dimension and seeing a version of himself that stayed evil known as Lord Drakkon. He is eventually able to gel with the team better after defeating Lord Drakkon in battle and starts dating Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger until Lord Drakkon kills him after he regains his powers. That is until Ranger Slayer uses her power to prevent his death by traveling back in time and they rewrite these events from happening. After Rita Repulsa uses the Green Candle and Lord Zedd drains them even further, he loses his powers for a short time until he goes on a journey to become the White Ranger and leader of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.


Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers (Stone Canyon)


Rocky DeSantos, Red Ranger II
Rocky DeSantos is a transfer student from Stone Canyon High School that becomes the Red Ranger after Jason Lee Scott becomes the Red Omega Ranger. Similar to his predecessor, Rocky is a skilled martial artist and attempts to improve his skills as a martial artist whenever he isn’t taking care of his large family.


Adam Park, Black Ranger II
Adam Park is a transfer student from Stone Canyon High School that becomes the Black Ranger after Zack Taylor becomes the Black Omega Ranger.


Aisha Campbell, Yellow Ranger II
Aisha Campbell is a transfer student from Stone Canyon High School that becomes the Yellow Ranger after Trini Kwan becomes the Yellow Omega Ranger. When Aisha first joins the team, she is at first distance to her new teammates but eventually warms up to them. When Matthew joins the other Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers as an ally, Aisha is shown to have a small crush on him and is distraught when he is captured by Mistress Vile.


Matthew Cook, Green Ranger II
Matthew Cook is a student from Angel Grove High School and quarterback of the football team that was a close friend of the five teenagers that became the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers until he learns of their identities after being captured by Rita Repulsa and having him be replaced by a Putty Infiltrator. He was also the boyfriend of Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger who breaks up with her prior to Tommy Oliver moving to Angel Grove. That is until he is recruited by Promethea, where he is given an energized Green Power Coin to become the new Green Ranger, keeping his identity secret from the other Power Rangers until he reveals his identity to the world. He then uses his superhero identity to get ahead in life, gaining more time to take tests and complete homework. He is later captured again by Rita Repulsa when she returns to the Moon Palace under he new alias, Mistress Vile, who brainwashes him to lead an attack on Angel Grove. He goes toe-to-toe with the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, with Aisha Campbell being able to get through to him for a second before he retreats from the battle.
